UBUD (bali) - Peaceful retreat

Ubud in Bali is a village situated 1 hour away from the south coast of Bali. This village is well-known as Elisabeth Gilbert, author of Eat Pray and Love has been sharing in her book this place to the world. As soon as you arrive here you can feel a different atmosphere, a peaceful, quiet, lush and humid paradise. The narrow streets are mainly used by scooters, lots of temples, tiny shops and organic restaurants make this village a unique place. Yoga lovers have adopted it, you can find a plethora of spas, yoga retreats, organic farms surrounded by amazing rice fields. Sophie’s friend recommended us a place to stay in Ubud – Sania’s Guesthouse. As soon as you enter you feel like in a movie, this family owned guest house fully dives you in the Balinese culture. You will see some pictures below. Once the accommodation sorted, Sophie wanted to go to a place named the Yoga Barn. A real Yoga sanctuary, this place brings everybody together around an Ayurveda Spa, a Healing Hut, its famous Kafe, a nenuphar pond, many yoga studios surrounded by rice fields, abundant vegetation and a very loud fauna! Sophie felt great there as soon as she got there, but yet a bit uncomfortable around intense yogis (babacool, dread locks, ect.) Amongst possible treatments, massage, yoga classes, Pilates classes, sound healing classes ect, Sophie signed up for their 3 days cleansing programme. This need an entire post in the blog to describe her experience!
